Approaching Women: The Use of Magic Tricks in the Field

www.ApproachDynamics.com

Stephen,

Just wanted to share an experience I recently had while out with some friends. He was a decent looking guy, I wouldn't look twice, but I wouldn't look away. But something grabbed my attention, a simple magic trick. He walked up to me and a group of my girlfriends and did asked one of us for $20. We looked at him funny and a couple of girls gave him a hard time. He said something to the effect of "trust me." Someone relented and gave him the twenty. He then proceeded to poke a pen through it and made the hole magically disappear.

My girlfriend wound up hooking up with him. It wasn't the trick that did it, but it definately broke the ice. Just thought I'd share the story with you.

First off, here is the trick, explained fully...

Let me ask you. How do David Blaine (David Blaine White) or Criss Angel (Christopher Nicholas Sarantakos) get the girls they do? No, it's not JUST because they are famous. It's because they have charisma - or at least that's a big part of it. They captivate people by doing something extraordinary.

Does that mean you should go out and learn as many magic tricks as you can and you will be rocking the pickup scene? No. But a cute trick thrown in at the right time, with the right people, can help relax you and your "target".

Personally, I hate that people are ruining the "magic" by puting this stuff "out there," but since Pandora's box is opened, we might as well benefit from it!

And by the way, you can get this pen here.

Um, no.

Basically all smart, intelligent, worthwhile women are well aware that this is from "The Game." You will just come across as a desperate cheeseball if you whip out magic tricks. If you date a woman who reads blogs or has friends who read blogs, she's heard about it. Doesn't matter if she's liberal, moderate, or conservative. She's heard about it. Sure the liberal blogs like Jezebel criticized it first, but it's gotten around. Pretty much all women find it annoying, insulting, and not cute or entertaining, especially once they know it's a pathetic attempt at impressing them or breaking the ice.

The only exception I can think of is if you are honestly a professional magician and make your living that way (my friend married one). But if you are, you probably won't do these tricks when first meeting women, as I'm sure the magician community has been forwarded warnings about "The Game" and "Mystery," and are all griping about the dilution of their profession!

Unfortunately you are VERY wrong. Sure it won't work on EVERYONE, but nothing does. This is a fun way to start a conversation.

It may not work on you, or your friends... perhaps because you are angry and stuck up? What ever the case- a simple magic trick can break the ice!

"Pretty much all women find it annoying, insulting, and not cute or entertaining..." Nice to see you're speaking for almost all women! Amazing that my experience and the experience of many others says the exact opposite!

I'm glad atleast one of your friends is happily married. I wish you luck. You'll need it!

I'm 44 years old and have been a PUA for years. Mystery didn't invent this stuff! He lucked out in having it brought out and was sort of given credit for it. It's like saying Al Gore's name when talking about the internet.
